Core of Steel -- Platinum Nuzlocke Rules

Pokemon Platinum Nuzlocke Rules:
1) Catch the first encounter of each route!
2) Nickname it!
3) If it faints, it is dead!
Clauses:
Shiny Clause - if you run into a shiny, feel free to catch & use it
Species Clause - if you run into a first encounter of a species you've caught before, you can try for another encounter (up to 3). However, if a pokemon has died and you run into that species, you can choose to count it as species clause or catch it anyways.

Our protagonist is the 15 year old Pamela, born November 12th, with Quiet nature, alert to sounds. Her best friend (and in game rival) is 16 year old Gerard, born May 23rd, with Bold nature, strongly defiant.
